Talk: Enid Marx: The Pleasures Of Pattern on Friday 22nd June 2018 @ 6pm

On Friday 22nd June 2018 design historian Alan Powers will be giving a talk on this important leading mid-20th century artist and designer, collection and writer, Enid Marx.  Petite and charming, she was industrious, a perfectionist, outspoken and campaigning.  She studied under Paul Nash and counted Edward Bowden, Barnett Feedman and Eric Ravilious among her friends and she taught, among others, the future pop artist Sir Peter Blake.  Her career spanned seventy years and she worked with Gordon Russell on laminates for the wartime Utility Furniture Panel.
