GORDON AND DON: WORCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT

Gordon and Don signed up with a territorial battalion of the Worcesters within a month of the declaration of WWI. Gordon survived the bloodiest battles of Loos, Passchendaele, Somme and Ypres, as did his brother Don. The pair returned to Broadway, following their service, and immediately became involved with the Lygon Arms family business.
